Our comprehensive university application programme provides guidance, encouragement and expert advice at every stage of the journey, ensuring that students feel confident, well-prepared and equipped to make informed decisions about their future.
Throughout the application process, students benefit from the expertise and experience of our dedicated sixth form staff, alongside the guidance of our Director of Aspiration. From exploring university options and researching courses to preparing personal statements and navigating the UCAS application process, students receive tailored support to help them submit strong, competitive applications and maximise their opportunities for success.
Preparation begins in Year 12, when students are encouraged to explore the wide range of higher education pathways available to them. A programme of aspiration-focused activities and enrichment opportunities helps students broaden their horizons, raise their ambitions and develop a deeper understanding of university life. These opportunities include guest speakers from prestigious universities, visits to UCAS exhibitions, dedicated assemblies and interactive workshops, all designed to inspire students and provide valuable insight into the application process.
As students’ progress towards making their applications, they are supported in identifying suitable courses and universities, understanding entry requirements and developing the skills and knowledge needed to present themselves effectively. Our experienced staff provide guidance and constructive feedback, helping students to recognise their strengths, articulate their achievements and approach each stage of the process with confidence.
Through this combination of expert guidance, structured preparation and meaningful enrichment opportunities, we aim to ensure that every student is encouraged to aim high and pursue the university pathway best suited to their ambitions.
