Harvest Festival This year’s harvest collection was the best yet with the school collecting a total of 54.95kg of food for the local food bank. Great Ormond Street

During our first term back at school we asked every student to vote on what charity they wanted to donate to. Local and well known charities were included and after counting the votes it was decided that Eagle House’s charity was to be Great Ormond Street. Great Ormond Street is the UK’s largest paediatric centre for many services and is well known for its life changing care and procedures that it carries out to save the lives of any children. It also has facilities that allow parents to stay on site with their children, making the hospital seem safer and lass scary, especially to younger patients. This half term…

This half term so many members of Eagle have supported their house by getting involved in activities like these:

  • Taking part and earning house points in the schools public speaking competition
  • Getting involved in Goffs Got Talent to earn more house points and show case their talent
  • Participating in the gaming competition to play some
  • Attending the careers fair to get an idea about different potential career options that they may wish to pursue in the future
  • Getting involved the House Mascot competition. Eagle house had a mountain of entries, and after much deliberation 5 finalists were shortlisted and sent to SLT who are to confirm the overall winner. All the designs were amazing and it was great to see so many people putting a lot of time and effort into their designs and earning so many house points. A massive thank you to everyone who submitted a design!
  • Getting involved in the Valentines Tuck Shop was hugely popular, and as a result we managed to raise lots of money for Great Ormond Street
  • Receiving the newly launched RAK (random acts of kindness) cards. Many students have already been rewarded for their random acts of good will, keep up the good work everyone!
